forum.pbbghub.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8284I posted this. And I messaged Torin ingame the link to this post also. Yes, everything I said is 100% true. Yes, you too can completely monopolize an Item. Yes, if you did monopolize and item completely Torin would probably ban you for exploiting a bug. Discussion should now commence on your thoughts about trade. Note: Do not be an idiot about it. Note: Torin Apoligists will be put into the Execution section.

Please don't say Torin is too busy.. cause we're all aware about that? Personally I would love to see someone argue that this is working as intended. Be intelligent about your argument though. Its late tonight, I'll take a look at it tomorrow, though it looks like nice stuff.

PS Time to grief. Grief hard. Torin only updates (historically) when there's a broadscale riot from donours.
I'll see what I can do to help (not much though, since I'm suspended and all).
Let me get it straight: its possible to completely destroy a market on a good, as you can make every planet (including one's that produce said good) buy the good?
Damn. That's real sloppy work.

Yes, you can. I've gone through the whole game 4 times checking this. Focusing on Plasma rifles, because they're the least traded, that way I could better check.
Oh, and each time I talked with Torin, his main concern was voting. He seems most worried if I and all my friends do not vote. He never mentioned Donating at all, just voting. Three different times he's asked if me and my friends were going to stop voting. Mind you, this was during unpleasant conversations. During times when he banned me for posted that a certain player or faction was exploiting game bugs. So he does know when he's in the wrong. And he gave away his greatest weakness; Voters.

Hes worried about voting because thats how most players end up knowing about the game- tbh i doubt many ppl vote anymore, not on the scale they used to anyway. What can i say about the trade script? its horrible, completely broken. There isnt a single aspect of the trade script that works. It does work as intended as i believe he slapped it together as simply as possible and presented it as an update. In other words, the trade script we have is the simplest possible script you could have and still say you have a trade script.

Yes, voting would be the main one.
Check the forums 'person'. Some people really are just plain stupid. Even actual proof cannot get them to admit Torin makes mistakes.

according to some of the voting pages, there has been as massive drop of of votes recently.
Of course, if he really cared about the voters, he wouldn't link to voting sites that launch phishing apps straight away. (If using my own rather than a library computer, I only vote in the 15 and 10 points sites, the others are risking viruses)

Well enough ppl feel like they'll get something by kissing Torin's ass (oh wait... maybe they do get something...)
But then again, never underestimate human stupidity...

Ok, who wants to fuck up the entire system and credit farm like evil SOBs?
Let's start working on some legal items and screw it all to hell.

I too, think that Torin is dragging his feet on fixing this obviously dismal trade script. I am clearly disappointed with the performance of the current far as of now.

I think in the last year I have only voted about 10 to fifteen times. Honestly, that was through pure boredom. One of those times, I actually was bored enough to fill out a review, and it was not a happy one. ...I just got taxed an ungodly amount, for the third time...and I am already poor. As for the trade script, I am not sure you want him to 'fix' it...after all, remember this IS the fixed version. Look Sparkles!! But you do not have to actually scroll down memory lane, I will recap the important stuff... A question arises... What if planets need too much irid? Guess that would never be a concern. Don't worry though, Torin's got our back if a planet needs too much tet or quad... Hmm...does he really? onward... The people rejoiced and were lost in their happiness, but a few sinners were skeptical... Unfortunately for them, Torin did not post again till Mon Sep 15th...not on the thread he just got done telling all how happy he was for feedback. And yes, there were lots of valid concerns to be addressed. In fact issues arose fairly soon after it's release... How long indeed! Anyway Torin continued to not respond to these concerns, not even telling the two most adamant about it that he was working on something. And a month later... Torin told everyone it would all get better when people started trading more. The fact is that planets demand so much with so little profit trading seems absolutely pointless to me. In the end, this quote from September seems to still hold: Which, is why I do not trade much and why I am not a PL. anyway...
Very good post Snookums.
Would you agree that fixed items would go a long way to creating an actual economy?
