This is an oldie (back when Deklan was conveniently getting updates suited for him--not saying anything though), but anyways, I got suspended for "personally offending" Torin.
Good times. Need to dredge up from AoA archives though.
EDIT: Its here!

EDIT: Its here!
It has been rumored somewhat among the seedier confines of the CS world (e.g. the homeless shelter “Alliance of Avalon”) that Torin is often in debt to his donors, perhaps timing his releases to the benefit of his more ‘invested audience’. After all, the attack script, these detractors claim, was only released after several donors rioted in the now defunct ChosenSpace forums, threatening to leave over it.
I’d like to say that this is completely false, and only the most cynical and ignorant people in CS could really believe this.
Well, except for one glaring exception:
MICHAEL MARTIN, evil incarnate, would-be ROTG(s? plural?) (and his immensely cynical ‘pledge’--forget it! We all know that Dax is MM’s slave!), etc. etc.
I would like to present the comprehensive case that Torin is clearly being manipulated by his master, Michael Martin (well, duh, who’d you think I was going to say? Deklan? ROFL).
Point 1-
Chat room antics.
MM would like to ban as many USF members from chat as possible, so they do not get crushed by the superior wit and literacy of people such as Lt Adin Ford. He also knows that he himself cannot compete with the champions of Altia, such as Deklan of the CAPS-LOCK. Hence he gets himself ban-sticked from chat to avoid sufferimg humiliating defeat.
Then there’s the provocation issue. Less USF = more likely for other members to make random provocations that will justify USF invasion and seizure of their territories. Hell if Deklan declares war when MM is in chat, imagine what kind of stunts are pulled when USF members are banned (completely justifiably!)…
Plus it also creates the completely false impression of a double standard afoot in the voicing system, especially with regard to AIA voices. I mean surely there is no simpler explanation of all this?
There are more manipulative currents afoot, however.
Point 2-
I have undisputable proof that the boarding script, sacred linchpin to the Five-Year Plan for CS V2, after which all problems in this game will disappear, is being manipulated. From Michael Martin himself:
Has nothing to do with the various “acts of freelance socialism” that will be going on around Ares when boarding is released, ofc. Remember—it is precisely because the boarding script is pro-USF interests that it won’t be coming along anytime soon.
Positively devious! You heard it here first.
Point 3-
The permanent KOS on Deklan, and of course the response from Torin. This is obviously a cruel yet ingenious ploy. First it would deflect all but the most clear-sighted, and lead them into thinking that it is Deklan who controls Torin (which is an asinine idea, ofc). Also it provides a nice excuse to send off Dax Polaris and other leaders in the Grand Alliance to reeducation camps, presumably located deep in Nespia, right next to the prison where they are busily torturing AIA members for BFR locations to jump on with their fleets of cowards.
Further more, MM and his minions have completely manipulated public opinion to think that AIA has mostly attacked civilian ships. A completely false impression, as we all know Deklan is perfectly capable of taking down level 10 shields. By himself. So why would he need to kill small factions in Tyria, or hulk-smash Source ships after a couple of warning shots?
Sidebar:
This is, of course, explains why there was nothing of the sort of Torin-warning when Deklan righteously appropriated RRMF’s shipyard (possibly with the intention of forcing the faction from the game? But of course not!)
Or SSA.
Well, one, they were destined to fail in that objective.
But, two, the then unformed USF, and evil MM had already realized that Deklan had the potential to build said outposts around Ares…and along with that, a potential bonanza for the boarding script…and thus a perfect opportunity to destroy the Alliance of Avalon (confirmed by Deklan’s spy).
And more importantly, three, all the talk about this double standard allows USF to plan its inevitable backstab. On EVERYONE!
Endsidebar:
This is clearly more evidence that USF has managed to subvert the communications system in this game. And MM hax0rz MSN! LOL.
Point 4-
The Sonya issue. I mean, clearly no sane person would think the instant promotion of this person could serve to advance MM’s interests.
I mean shilling for AIA’s benevolent intentions (e.g. their benign and peaceful escort of FAA out of Tyria, so that various helpful leadership changes could occur—which were completely engineered by Michael Martin), and even fighting on the side of AIA, could only lead to the “completely false” notion that Sonya happens to be a shill to her current (non)-masters in AIA (which may or may not encompass people named “Deklan”).
Again, devious!
This of course proves that she isn’t a shill of AIA, using an extensively modified version of the logical principle modus tollens. And if you don’t get this, its more proof that USF is out to get you, even by messing with your mind. Soon, they’ll have the trifecta, control of chat, control of forums, and control of the Alliance of Avalon.
Plus now everyone knows MM hax0rz MSN! LOL x2. But quadrifecta does not flow off the tongue quite as easily, plus I don’t think it’s a real word.
So how do we fight this madness?
Contract:
10000k quadrium
2958 purified water
100250 points
1000 x .9 ion cannons
2 x .1 disruptor cannons
1 Dreadnought (of any design, preferable with .3 guns or smaller)
189k Sigma Cigars (research purposes)
To Hawk, who knows the truth and really has nothing to lose so we don’t really can. Together we’ll fight! Either this or he’ll steal this so that Avalon can take Jexia (for USF, of course).
I would draw up a plan, but time is short, must stab the USF members in the back ASAP!
And no, I don’t NAP with Michael Martin ffs.

PS. I bet nobody can come up with a simpler explanation of all of these phenomena.
